We send parties a copy of the decision relating to their case.
When we make a final decision on your case, we may give the order to you in writing on the same day or send it to you after the hearing.

We give each case a reference number. Use this reference number whenever you contact us or the other people involved in the case.
If you applied before 1 October 2023, we'll hear your case as soon as possible.

VCAT members hear and decide our cases. They are lawyers or specialists within a given field and are appointed by the Governor in Council.
