How to use our online forms. This doesn’t apply to applications made through the Residential Tenancies Hub, Guardianship Hub, LV-Hub, Account by Administrator (ABA) form or Planning and Environment forms.

How do I return to my saved application?

If you registered for a myVCAT account when you saved your application, log in to myVCAT to return to your application form.

If you don’t have a myVCAT account and have submitted a goods and services application on or after 6 December 2023, click here to learn if you can register

If you do not have a myVCAT account and you bookmarked or saved a link to your application, you can also return to your application using that link.

Please note that draft applications will expire after 30 days. 

All other forms

If you saved the progress of an application, you can retrieve it in two ways:

  • Use the link in the email you received when you saved your application.
  • Log in to your account from the homepage.

How do I log in to my account?

Go to my.vcat.vic.gov.au to log in.

You can also find a login link on the top right of the website.

Click ‘Login’ and then choose myVCAT to log in to your account.

Access to login can be found on the top right of the website on a desktop screen.

On a mobile device, open the menu on the top right to find the login link.

How do I find all my applications?

Goods and services application form

Log in to myVCAT.

You will then find a list of goods and services applications you have submitted on or after 6 December 2023.

If you can’t find the goods and services application you have submitted on or after 6 December 2023 in myVCAT, click the ‘Request to get linked to a case’ button on myVCAT and complete the form.  

To make this request, you will need a VCAT reference number for your case and the document number given to you when you applied. Your document reference number will look like CXXXX/2024.

Your existing application can only be linked to your myVCAT account if it is a goods and services application that was submitted on or after 6 December 2023.

All other forms

Access your saved and submitted applications by logging in.

You can edit your draft application or view a submitted application by selecting it.

How do I delete a draft application?

Goods and services application form

You can’t delete a draft application. If you make a mistake with a draft application, you can update it.  

If you have a myVCAT account, you can update an existing draft application or start a new application by logging in to your myVCAT account.

If you do not have a myVCAT account, learn more about who can register for an account here.

Draft applications that are not completed will be automatically deleted 30 days after being created.

If your draft application is automatically deleted, you can begin a new application if needed.

Select Delete draft next to the application you want to delete.

How do I reset my password?

Goods and services application form

  1. On the myVCAT login page, select Forgot your password?

  2. Enter the email address you used when registering for a myVCAT account.

  3. Select Send verification code and Continue.
  4. Enter the verification code we sent to your email address and select Verify code.
  5. Select Continue and you will be asked to set a new password.

  6. Select Continue and you will return to the login screen.

All other forms

  1. From the login screen, switch to the Forgot password tab.
  2. Enter the email address associated with your account.
  3. You will receive an email. Use the link to reset your own password.

You have 3 attempts to log in before being locked out of your account.

If your account is locked, you will not be able to reset your own password. Contact us on 1300 01 8228 to have your account unlocked.
