How to use myVCAT
The myVCAT portal is where you can manage a Goods and Services application online. It gives you access to the details of your case, documents, orders and more.
With a myVCAT account, you can:
- Create or respond to an application
- Upload evidence and other documents
- View real-time information relating to your case
- View VCAT orders and any correspondence received from VCAT
- View any evidence and other documents submitted by any other party who also has a myVCAT account
- Get updates on the progress of an application
You must have a myVCAT account to submit or respond to an online Goods and Services application.

Who can use myVCAT?
myVCAT is now available to all parties (applicants and respondents) who have made, or are parties to, a goods and services application lodged on or after 6 December 2023.
How do I create a myVCAT account?
Go to https://my.vcat.vic.gov.au/ and check if you meet the criteria for a myVCAT account. If you do, click the Register for myVCAT button.
How do I log into myVCAT?
Go to https://my.vcat.vic.gov.au/, click the Sign in button, and enter your username and password.
How do I make an application using myVCAT?
After logging in to myVCAT, click the Start a new application button. Complete and submit the form to create a new case. You can also save the form and return to it later.
Unfinished applications will be deleted after 30 days of inactivity.
How do I view information about my application?
After completing a form or logging in to my VCAT, you can view/access:
- The status of your application and other key information,
- any orders that have been issued,
- upcoming hearing dates,
- documents that have been uploaded and,
- tasks assigned to you.
Only applications made after 6 December 2023 can be viewed in myVCAT.
How do I submit supporting documents about my dispute?
When you start an application in myVCAT, you will need to submit some key documents related to your dispute in Step 4: About the issue. This includes the following:
Points of claim
A points of claim document is a written statement you must provide. It should contain information about what your dispute is about and what outcome you are seeking.

Evidence
You can upload evidence to support your application, such as receipts, emails, photographs, and other documents. You must select what type of evidence you are submitting from the dropdown list when you upload your document(s).

How do I serve documents to the other party?
Documents can be uploaded to your myVCAT account. You must also send copies of all uploaded documents to all other parties either by email (to a valid email address), by post or in person.
- If all other parties have a myVCAT account, you can simply upload your documents to your myVCAT account which will make them visible to the other parties
- If any other party to your case does not have a myVCAT account, it is very important that you send copies to them by email (to a valid email address), by post, or in person
