Review a VLSC decision imposing compensation or disciplinary orders

Lawyers may apply to VCAT to review compensation and disciplinary orders imposed on them by the Victorian Legal Services Commissioner under the Legal Profession Uniform Law (Victoria).

Cases VCAT can hear

VCAT can review the Victorian Legal Services Commissioner's decision to impose compensation orders or fines to a lawyer under the Legal Profession Uniform Law (Victoria).

We can only review the decision when the application is made by the lawyer.

Cases VCAT cannot hear

We can't review a decision by the Victorian Legal Services Commissioner not to impose compensation orders or fines.
