VCAT is on the move

VCAT is moving to a new venue at 308 La Trobe Street, Melbourne in March 2026, bringing our Melbourne CBD-based services together alongside Rental Dispute Resolution Victoria (RDRV).

Located close to public transport links, 308 La Trobe Street will provide a modern, comfortable and accessible facility that will make it easier for Victorians to access VCAT.

The new venue will be open to the public from 30 March 2026.

Transition to our new CBD venue

VCAT will be moving from its current CBD venues to 308 La Trobe Street during February and March 2026. Hearings, services and in-person support will continue as we move.

If you have been to VCAT before, your hearing may be at a different location than last time, or it may be heard online. Please check your hearing notice carefully to confirm where your hearing is listed. 

Relocation dates for VCAT CBD venues

Please note the following key dates as we relocate our CBD services:

• 27 February 2026 - 414 La Trobe Street closes
• 27 March 2026 - 55 King Street closes
• 30 March 2026 - 308 La Trobe Street open to the public.

Our other VCAT venues are not affected by the relocation.
